The Essential Role of Philanthropy
We recognize that for Mercy Health System of Northwest Arkansas to transform
into a destination for health and healing, ongoing philanthropy is essential for
progress and growth. With the fierce challenges of operating a successful
contemporary healthcare organization, the need for philanthropic support is
greater than ever.
Mercy’s ability to earn and receive generous donations will make us stronger
and more resilient than those lacking such a base of support. These gifts will
spell the difference between mediocrity and excellence, between adequate
facilities and world-class facilities, between heavy reliance on distant
institutions for specialized care and the availability of a full range of
services close to our own homes and families. No other gifts will pay such
vital, sustained and universal dividends for the people of Northwest Arkansas.
You and your family can make the difference in assuring this remarkable
resource continues to provide quality healthcare for our own time and for the
generations to follow. Thank you for your support.
The Friendship Circle is a group of individuals interested in Mercy
Health System and in continuing the provision of quality health care
services. You can contribute to the good health of our community
by making an annual financial gift to the Mercy Health Foundation.
Friendship Circle members contribute $100 or more annually to the Mercy
Health Foundation. These funds are used to support equipment,
services, education and charity care of Mercy Health System of Northwest
Arkansas. In appreciation for your membership:
- your name will be listed with the names of other club members on
the donor recognition wall in the hospital
- you will receive a recognition gift
- you will be invited to other special events and programs offered
by the Foundation
Thank you for your interest in joining the Friendship Circle.
Please contact Clark Ellison at (479) 338-2932 to join or for more
information.
The Grateful Patient Program is a thoughtful way to recognize the excellence
of care you or a loved one has received from your physician or the staff at St.
Mary’s Hospital. Patients donate as a way of saying “thank you” to the
people who were there when they needed them most -- their doctors, nurses,
therapists and any other members of the healthcare team that has made a
memorable contribution to their health and well-being. Upon receipt of
your special gift, we will send a card to the healthcare professional(s) you wish to honor. You will receive an official receipt for income tax
purposes along with our thanks. This method of giving helps further the
Foundation’s mission in many ways, especially in providing quality healthcare
services for you, your family and our community.
It is not always easy to find just the right way to pay tribute to a loved
one, a colleague or a friend. Perhaps you want to celebrate a birthday, a
graduation, a retirement, or some other achievement. Or, perhaps you long
to find a lasting way to memorialize someone you love and miss greatly. At
all of these times, there is no more fitting way to honor someone who has
touched your life than with a designated gift to the Mercy Health Foundation.
We have trees that make a wonderful way to remember or honor someone who has
meant so much to you.
- Multi-trunk tree - $650
- Canopy tree - $300-750
- Small Tree - $450
The dollar amount of each gift designation is not meant to reflect an exact
dollar cost but rather gives consideration to the significance of the item and
the related privilege of designation. We would be glad to visit with you
about any ideas you may have.
