A Growing Community With Growing Needs

Northwest Arkansas and the surrounding communities are growing. As they do, the need for quality health care grows as well. At Mercy, providing the best care possible is a top priority. Thanks to a team of dedicated people who provide their best care, lives are saved and healthcare advances happen every day. But as time continues, the cost of such quality care increases due to the changing needs of our communities and the need for accessible state-of-the-art equipment and services.

Through the years, the financial support of many generous people has helped Mercy expand and provide up-to-date healthcare services. We, at Mercy Health Foundation, acknowledge that these individuals are not only concerned about today's health care but also with the future. And we appreciate those who have included Mercy in their estate plan by providing a deferred gift.

Planned Giving

In the last five years, the Mercy Health Foundation of Northwest Arkansas has received more than $4,000,000 in planned gifts.  To continue this level of philanthropy, the foundation respectfully requests that you consider becoming a donor. Your donation may go to a general fund, or you may specify where you would like your gift to go.

Types of Planned Gifts

A planned or deferred gift is any contribution that will come to the hospital in the future. Planned gifts, such as a bequest in a will, life insurance, trusts, annuities, life income agreements, charitable remainder trusts, or real estate can provide important resources for Mercy. These planned gifts allow the hospital to continue high quality health care.  Methods for planned giving include annual gifts through Circle of Friends, Grateful Patient program, Mercy Club, memorials and honorariums, and special events.

Leaving a Legacy

Mercy Medical Center Foundation planned gift donors receive special recognition by having their name permanently placed on our stained glass donor window, unless anonymity is requested. Amounts or types of gifts will not be mentioned, nor does the amount or type. Donors may prefer to ask their financial advisor to notify us of a planned gift.

Planned Giving Advisory Group

Mercy Health Foundation has established a Planned Giving Advisory Group to assist people who name or have Mercy listed as a beneficiary of a planned gift. These advisors can help in matters of trust, life insurance, real estate, or stocks, etc., and work with a family's professional advisor to ensure that the donor's wishes are properly followed.
